Dear Friends:

Lee asks an excellent question.

Then does it behoove us as LCs not to make any comments to the mom about

Derrick Jelliffe is one that was quoted as saying "breastfeeding is a
confidence game." I want to support the new mother to go for it all,
breastfeed on cue, keep her baby with her s2s as much as
possible.................and have 1 or 2 weight checks in the first week
after hospital discharge. I didn't get a crystal ball with my certification.
I have (and I am sure that many on this list have also) seen too many
miracles and amazing things to be able to predict anything, despite previous
history or current diagnoses.

warmly,
Nikki
