I too have had success with Avent bottles to transition to the breast.
Picking the right bottle depends on several factors including the baby's
mouth, size and pysiological status. Little premies don't do that well on
the Avent. THey are unable to get milk effectively from this nipple. I have
also had many women who have had to use bottles until baby takes the breast,
call me later on desperate that their babies are absolutly refusing
bottles.This is ironic and very challenging. I tell mother's that their
babies are being very loyal. Ann Anderson
