Carla, the article, by Mary Margaret Coates, MN, IBCLC, is in JHL March
1990, page 10-11. Page 11 has the 12 suggestions for "Bottle-feeding like a
breastfeeder." I have used this with mothers whom I have worked with and
who choose to not keep struggling to breastfeed. They have found the
material, and my offering it, to be affirming.
