I came across this reference while doing a medline search.
Somatostatin: a new therapeutic option for the treatment of chylothorax.
Buettiker V, Hug MI, Burger R, Baenziger O.
Intensive Care Med. 2001 Jun;27(6):1083-6.

The abstract states that in 3 out of 4 pediatric patients, somatostatin
eliminated chylothorax and allowed earlier enteral feeding.  This is a
great option to have available for infants with this problem.
