Thank you to everyone who has replied so far regarding what your LC fees are
(hourly amount, set fee, salary, etc), how long your initial consult is
usually, and follow-ups. Additional information is apprectiated: your
education, practice location, number of practitioners in your area, etc. As
of today, I have 68 respondents from 7 countries and I'd love to gather
more. If you are hesitant, please rest assured that your fees will never be
revealed. At the request of one LNer, I will not be posting the results.
However, I should let you know that because of the incredible response and
prompting from a few sources, I will be writing up the results and
statistically analyzing them. Those who responded will receive a private
email from me with all the results (this will take a bit of time, but I will
get it to you as I have created a whole database already). Again, I am most
impressed by the response. I must say that there is an enormous amount of
variability in practice patterns and fees, but there are also very
interesting patterns emerging.
Gratefully yours,
Chris Hafner-Eaton, PhD, MPH, CHES, IBCLC [log in to unmask]
