I find Lactnet a wonderful resource and I learn so much by reading
it. As a LLL Leader with no medical background but 5 kids and 12
years of breastfeeding experience, it is so pleasant to be listened
to and treated with respect by those in the medical professions
(and everybody else on Lactnet too:)). However, I like to see
people use their credential initials at least in their signatures.
This way I get to know who has what "paper credentials" and areas of
specialization if I am faced with an emergency and I know who to
contact by e-mail while I am searching for "book" resources and
using the resources that I have available to me from LLL. I am also
fascinated by the different combinations of degrees and other
qualifications listed after people's names. This is Just my
opinion, by the way I have a couple of degrees too:)
