Last night I learned that a mom I have been working with has a third nipple;
it is up near her armpit, but not under her arm. It is leaking milk, i am
assuming. The problem is there is a build up of fluid to the side of her
armpit and into her arm. It is very painful. Her baby is six days old; her
milk came in on day 5.

There is no way to extract the fluid that I can think of...Will it take care
of itself? Is putting ice on it (at least her arm) okay?

Thanks,

Amy
