I heartily agree with everyone who has said to look for an undiscovered
traumatic birth injury in this baby. A baby who starts life screaming and
continues to do so, needs help. When it starts that soon it seems unlikely
that it is caused by anything related to the milk or the feeding. It seems
more likely that the breastfeeding difficulties are caused by the baby's
behavior, for which the cause is still undetermined. Fractured clavicle or
humerus would be my first guess, closely followed by some kind of pinching
of a cervical nerve. Once these things are ruled out, if the crying
persists, it's time to start looking for less obvious things - not before.
