If a mom is referred to me for a pump who has a premie baby I suggest the
Classic; likewise, if mom has a fullterm baby who is a few days old. The
Classic seems to be better for moms who do not have an established
supply, and baby is not yet at the breast. The Lactina is better for
moms with an established supply. Generally, hospitals here follow this
"rule of thumb." However, most moms will feel more comfortable using
the type of pump they were introduced to in the hospital anyway.

Just my opinion.
