Hi
I have run into a similar problem with two moms now (unrelated), and wanted
some insight on the situation:
+/- 5 day old full term baby after vaginal birth (one of the babies had a
normal and speedy birth while second had vacuum birth) mother motivated to
nurse. Good milk production. Painful latch that looks good from the outside
but causes much pain and nipple compression leading to compression sores.
Baby has low palate and good to strong suck.

Suggested taking the baby to cranio-sacral treatment but mom was not
interested.

Is there anything to be done other than pump and wait it out until baby's
palate grows?

Thanks!
