The political party strongly tipped to win government at the Tasmanian State
Election later this month, launched their new women's policy yesterday, on
the first day of World Breastfeeding Week. Wide media publicity has been
given to the fact that It includes a breastfeeding program, where mothers
employed in the public sector will be allowed to breastfeed their babies
during work time. This would be part of a pilot of more flexible working
hours for female public sector employees. The plan is to ultimately expand
it into the private sector.

In launching the policy, Tasmanians were reminded that it is now illegal in
this state to discriminate against breastfeeding mothers.

Go Tasmania! Show the rest of Australia how it's done.
