Just curious...I am the newest Lactation Specialist "on the block" in Chattanooga, TN. Considering Medela's apparently lack of concern for their current status of non-code compliancy, I am puzzled about the ethical implications of offering their pumps in our hospital (to patients who require breast pumps). Would/could this be considered an ethical violation, should we be pursuing another manufacturer who IS code compliant, if so...who?

I saw an interesting pump demo at the ILCA conference last summer...PJ's Comfort Breast pump. Does anyone have any experience with this pump...and are they code compliant.

Thanks so very much,
Marie Ivey, BSN, RN, CLC
