I heard at conference a few years ago from a lactation consultant working
with refugees that breastfed children were less likely to be abandoned.
In the archives today I found a posting on this from 1995 on a study in
Costa Rica. Does anyone else have such studies?
In the UK there are many projects aiming to prevent family breakup, improve
parenting etc and in order to appeal to them for support for breastfeeding
it would be helpful to have as much on this subject as possible.
