If effective yeast treatment does not work, the problem is unlikely to 
be yeast. Pink nipples is a non-specific symptom, and moms with painful 
pink nipples were found to have Staph in a recent Australian study (I 
posted on this before...).
I'd get this mom to a dermatologist who could culture and find out 
what's actually hurting her. And check out that baby's mouth and sucking 
skills.
