my patient that I had who had bright red bleeding while pregnant and
subsequently at delivery and for days was diagnosed with an intraductal
papilloma. She went to a breast surgeon, etc had many tests and it was found
but not taken out. Wish it had, with her second the bleeding became worse at
delivery and the ped told her she could not breastfeed even though she had
previously agreed to pump until it slowed and feed when baby could tolerate.
Good luck, sounds like they need to be seen by a specialist to rule out other
issues as well that could be very serious.
