Where is this reticence coming from regarding supporting Miriam Labbok for
Surgeon General?!! All of us in the lactation profession could not ask for a
more avid proponent of infant and women's health AND breastfeeding! This
Lactnetter certainly never imagined that resistance would be found within our
own profession. Are we going to start eating our young? Anyone who has
concerns about Miriam Labbok's stand on issues relative to breastfeeding
should contact her directly to resolve those concerns. I just spent three
full days with Miriam at the conference in Nashville and am energized at the
prospect of her serving as Surgeon General. Everyone at the conference went
home planning to write to the White House and their senators and legislators
in support of Dr. Labbok's nomination. Please, let's all do the same! This IS
 NOT politicking. This is continuing to promote, protect and support
BREASTFEEDING!!
