<PRE>This situation sounds like an over supply issue to me. The baby could easily
exhibit the breast refusal, crying, excessive spitting up, green stools etc.
She might want to begin by limiting to one breast per feed and keeping to
that breast for any further feeds for a 2-3 hr period (to cut back on the
nipple stimulation and supply). She also might want to hand express until
the milk goes from sprays to a quick drip, so that baby doesn't get so
overwhelmed by the flow. Also using positions that the baby can have more
control of the flow, i.e. sidelying, high football hold, mom lying back in a
reclining chair with baby on top etc. This is not to say there might not be
other problems going on. Let us know how it turns out. Susan Manore, IBCLC
