One of the problems about being a "world known leader in pediatrics" is
that you think the world is just waiting for your latest pronouncement.
Unfortunately, the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto is so ossified
in many ways, (especially about breastfeeding) that they cannot even
imagine that what they have always done could be anything but the word
of God.
As far as I know, the Hospital for Sick Children still uses only frozen
breastmilk for its prematures!!! Even if the mother just pumped fresh
right then and there. If this has changed, and I doubt it, it has
changed only recently. How's that for ossified?
