Valium one time dose for mother of 3 week old ok?

Dear All.

Question: Mom is going to have oral surgery tomorrow for wisdom teeth
removal. One time dose of 10 mg valium will be given.  She has been advised
to stop bf for 72 hours.

Does a one time 10 mg dose of Valium warrant a 3 day cessation of bf for a
mom of a 3 week old? Briggs indicates that it is not approved by the AAP and
may be of concern, since effects are unknown and may be serious.
