Tracy,
Please continue to try to help this mom get her leave extended since
this is the approach she wants to take.  If she has no choice but to
go back in 1 week or lose her job, you might suggest the
"breastbottle".  It is the least unlike direct nursing of anything I
have seen so far, but of course not the same.  We have had several
moms try it in similar circumstances, and it has worked each time.
