Hi all,

I have always encouraged my prenatal moms to smell their babies at
delivery. I can still remember the way my own babies smelled. I wish
breastfeeding success was so easy!

I'm still working on keeping our mothers and babies together from birth
on--We still "cook" them under the warmer for 1-4 hours!

We are also trying to get a change to mother/baby couplet care. Anyone
out there done this recently?? I thought we had something going, a task
force formed to discuss it, but was disbanded before the first meeting.
The new nurse manager said that from the body language of the group she
did not think the majority was for it and the last hospital where she
worked it did not work!!!
