In my experience, and in that of many mothers I know who have nursed
through and beyond pregnancies, the change in the older nursling's stools
(to that of a breastfed child) took place only AFTER the new baby was born.
This is interesting because we know that the mother's changes to colostrum
long before the birth. Perhaps it has to do with the amount of milk the
nursling is getting during the pregnancy? But even so, you would expect to
see some changes ...
