Having been born with a birth defect that the March of Dimes helped
pay to repair I am surprised. They primarily work toward prevention
of birth defects. I can't imagine how they would become even remotely
involved in the evacuation. They aren't a "relief" agency.

As for the milk drying under stress--believe it or not we still have
a huge population here that really (and I mean really) believes that.
They also believe that stress can spoil the milk and make the baby
sick. It's an education issue but not one that is very likely to come
up very often. I do try to cover it in my myths list in breastfeeding
classes, but it is deeply ingrained in a certain segment of our
population.

In these disaster situations it's like every one wants to "help."
Formula and diapers always seem to be on the top of the list of
things they need. Maybe our disaster relief organizations need to be
better educated.
