Some mothers seem to  avoid  having to  nurse while out, and are happy for 
their lives to be restricted.   Most mums aren't that happy. Took my first 
for his first meal out when he was  a couple of weeks old, and to this day 
he loves a curry.  I'd have thought it more disruptive to the rest of the 
family  to  sit in a car outside waiting  for a baby to finish before they 
went in,  at least sitting at table they can always have another coffee. I 
grew used to  eating one handed, and it gives the rest of the fmaily a 
chance to help as they cut up big bits for you
