Janet -
This child had no solids at all until two years of age?  Did the parents not
offer them or did the child refuse them?  And at 3 yo the child is not yet
speaking?  Seems to me that there is a developmental problem going on here
which has nothing to do with bf.  Why does everything get blamed on bf?
Probably a good thing the child nursed as long as he did.  Child should be
evaluated for other problems.
