Hi!

I have permission from mom to post. Brief background - baby was born 12/11/16 6lbs 15 oz, on 3/29/17 weighing 8lbs 2oz - he was hospitalized for low weight gain and tested but nothing was showing up as wrong. She has been seen by a few IBCLC's where she delivered and a few where they were hospitalized. She was told to add formula as a fortifier to breastmilk and pump and feed at least 28 oz a day. Mom has no known issues, she is on prenatal vitamins and has a hormonal IUD. Baby is currently gaining and with BM and fortifier - currently 11lbs 9oz. Mom has been able to pump the 28 oz every day but her cycle just returned on Saturday 4/28 and she is suddenly only able to pump between 14 and 18 oz per day. Would love some advice on if and when supply will come back and what can be done in the meantime. She is currently giving formula in place of the milk she's not able to produce right now.

Thank you guys so much
