I agree completely that no one behavior can be responsible for violence (or
not) in a society. However, it is the "parenting, societal values and
culture" that determine if we breastfeed at all. For bf to be so dependent on
these things, it must certainly be  about more than how babies are "fed". I
also believe that artificial feeding is not a new concept and whether or not
breastfeeding is valued in a society (and in what capacity) are factors in
the way members of a society interact w/ one another and w/ members of other
societies.
