Cindy wonders:

<< Wondering, how reliable are breastfeeding results gathered from a
 formula company???? >>

That's a good question. Unfortunately, they are all we have, and all
comparisons of bf rates need to be based on Ross stats because they are all we
have had.

What would it benefit them to print/publish inaccurate statistics?

Although the 62.4% is the highest bf rate nationally (we've finally, 16 years
later, gone above the 1982 rate), we are still woefully behind the year 2000
goal (which was set for 1990 in 1984) of 75% with 50% continuing for 6 months.

We still have work to do......but this IS good news. We are making an impact,
one mom & one baby at a time. Thanks, Pat, for posting this!!

Jan Barger, in Wheaton -- 27 miles from da Bulls!!! The honeymooners are home
-- they are positively glowing -- and DID watch all three Bulls games when in
Jamaica!
