I have a 26 y/o G2P2 first time Breastfeeder mom who is taking a
medication that I am concerned about, Neurontin.  This med is an
anticonvulsant.  She is taking 2tabs TID.  Her infant is an 8 day old,
645gram, 24 week gest., male whose head ultrasound showed bilateral
cystic PVL (mom had significant seizures during the last weeks of her
pregnancy).  She is currently pumping and storing her milk.  She is also
taking Depakote (Hale states:AAP considers compatible).  Right now we
are leaning toward a "not give milk" decision.  We are going to be
feeding him within the next day so I will need a decision.
