Michelle:  Vaginal dryness during lactation is similar to that during
menopause (in some women) and is due to decreased hormone levels.  Dry skin
and to some degree thinning hair, all are related.  Some women have had
great success (including myself, my co-Leader, two of our Leader applicants
and two dozen others that I know of) with the use of a combination herb
product of Wild Yam and Vitex/Chaste Tree taken orally.  There are several
suppliers of this.  If you're interested in hearing more, email me
