I would be interested in knowing if anyone has ever read/seen/experienced
anything regarding yeast spores living on (in?) a diaphragm. CNM thought it
was possible but hadn't heard of it. No other explanation would seem to fit
the experience that resulted, of brief but intense monilia symptoms
immediately following diaphragm use. Final test: prophylactic (!ha!) use of
Monistat following diaphragm insertion - no sx of monilia that time. The
long-term solution proposed is to replace the diaphragm, as no one seems to
know if it would be ok to boil it, soak it in vinegar, slather monistat on
it, etc. etc.

When you think about it, it makes some sense...

Mary Renard, very glad to be back on; wish I'd saved the scathing letter I
sent to AOL but all you other AOLers can appreciate it I'm sure!
