Wow.

I would be VERY upset about this also.  This mother's health, baby's health, 
and breastfeeding have all been compromised bc of mismanagement.  

Are you close enough to go to them and discuss it? Maybe you can write them 
a letter and thank them for the referral and then in a nice way let them know 
this could have been handled better.  Maybe send them a copy of this:

Good Luck with this.  In the meantime put some ice on your head, all that 
banging it into the wall, its got to hurt a lot by now!
