I have recently seen a return to pediatricians recommending putting rice in bottled milk for the management of infant reflux. Is anyone else seeing the same practice? Does the AAP have a new recommendation about this issue? I just heard today about a 4 day old who was taken off the breast for reflux. Mom was told to put milk in a bottle with 1.5 tsp for every 60 mL of breastmilk. It seems like this is turning into a first line of "treatment" and I am wondering if I have missed something.

Thanks,
