There was a formula company here (forget which one) that produced a "lovely"
poster that was put up in clinics re babies' position during feeding with
regard to ear infections.  The diagram of the breastfeeding position was a
wonder to behold!  It was put together by a doctor for the company
concerned.  Our local Breastfeeding Liaison Group had some serious dialogue
with the company and the doctor (basically asking for evidence for their
information) and the posters were removed! But, the message that lying down
to breastfeed is bad news,  remains to some extent.
