Question for Madeline Smith re heating pad on scale:

What kind of heating pad do you use? 
I have thought of doing this but thought the cord hanging off the pad would affect the reading.  Since you say the pad is zeroed, I'm assuming you leave it on the scale during the weight.  I'm very excited about the possibility of warming the scale!  I do use a blanket.

As far as the topic at hand, I do it both ways.  Interestingly when parents put the baby on the scale they always do supine.  Then I have to tell them they can't leave their hands on the baby.
