Since when is weaning non interventionist?

The incidence of breast cancer in an 8 month old is about 0 (in medicine
never say never) but one could investigate the lump with ultrasound or
aspiration if one really was concerned without weaning.

Could the baby be exposed to extra estrogens via the mother? Is mom on the
pill for example?
