Many thanks to everyone who helped to educate me on the dangers of
eating lox while pregnant.
Just as a matter of interest, does anyone know how many women/babies
are actually affected by this? On the one hand I am hearing that we
should NOT eat smoked salmon during pregnancy, but on the other hand I
am hearing that many women (including me) had no ill-effects from
doing so. So what is the risk factor?

norma, who loves lox and whose dh eats pickled herring almost every day.
