Dear readers of lactnet--I need your collective wisdom. I will be retiring as
of Sept 30 this year. I have been the consultant here at Mayo Medical Center
for 10 years. I will not be able to be a part of the intervies process for a
new lactation consultant. However, I have been asked to come up with about 4
questions that would focus on the key componets of the job to help the intervie
w panel in determining the individuals's philosophy related to breastfeeding,
staff development and the role of an LC in a hospital setting. I would be most
grateful for any ideas you may have or questions used in this process at other
institutions.
The job should be posted shortly. The patients I see are so varied that the
job covers any one with questions or problems related to breastfeeding in hosp-
ital as well as outpatient. A great opportunity for someone! I hope to spend
time with my 4 kids and 11 grandkids. I will get a home computer and hope to
keep up with lactnet and who knows-some private consulting.??
Thanks ahead for your help. You may email be privately at [log in to unmask]
