I knew I was not the only one who recoiled at the irresponsible media
treatment of the Breastfeeding experience of Nurse Hathaway soon after the
birth of Tess/Twin A [specifically with regard to supplements and the
prolongedly delayed intitiation of bf].  Many overt infractions of "standards
of practice" with regard to breastfeeding were noted, but  to have
additionally involved a  [TV] nursing professional--ugh.  Who and where were
the professional advisors?   Sending this message to the TV audiences only
reinforces the ignorance that is unfortunately pervasive in hospital settings
today. I had to immediately intervene with  corrective explanations [as well
as expletives] to family members who were viewing this along with me on
Thanksgiving nite.
