Dear friends,
Since there is no -as far as I know- evidence of harm of wet or crossnursing by healthy women or the use of human donormilk and there is -and that I do no for sure- tons of evidence that non-human-milkfeeding is potential harmful and for some lethal, I do not see how a LC with her Ethical Code in mind can *not* be involved in providing human milk for babies whose mom is not able to feed her baby herself.

Warmly,
Gonneke, IBCLC, LLLL, MOM in windy, rainy and even snowy southern Netherlands

Nikki I am so sorry for the loss of your friend Linda. She was lucky to have a
generous friend to provide her baby with breastmilk.

Does anyone know if the IBLCE has guidelines for the role of the IBCLC in
circumstances related to informal milk sharing?

Thanks,
