So true!  Thanks for saying it so succintly.  I hope you have your
armor ready, because I can almost guarantee that there will be those
who jump on the "but babies should never get formula" bandwagon
without really seeing this point.  There is often a big difference
between the ideal situations we would like to see and the reality we
have to deal with!  In each case we have to deal with not only what
we would like to see done, but what's available, where the mom is
coming from and what the staff experience and attitude is.  We keep
working on making the more breastfeeding friendly options more
readily available, but until someone comes along with that magic
wand that will change everything instantly, we have to deal with
what is along with what we would like it to be.
