If anyone has heard from a formula rep that Ruth Lawrence has seen the
materials (implying she approved them) that they pass out inferring that
supplementation means babies nurse longer, please let her know.

I learned that her name and mine were being used in this manner and
informed her of this. I then wrote a certified letter to the head office
of the company in question and told them that if I heard this being done
another time, the next person they would hear from was my attorney! To
date, I have not heard from others of my name being used in this manner.

By the way, SEEING the material in no way means we APPROVE or SUPPORT the
information shared. Please feel free if you are told this to MAKE CLEAR
that I DO NOT NOW NOR HAVE I EVER SUPPORTED such work, nor do I agree that
their UNPUBLISHED (and thus not meeting the critical review of
knowledgeable peers in the field) DATA are accurate. It is
methodologically unsound, in fact. One example: They define
supplementation as including even one bottle of expressed breastmilk per
week!
