Several people emailed me privately to expand on this method. It can be
found in detail in the most recent edition of JHL.
Essentially (and briefly)
this is an alternative feeding method.
infant is placed in a high sitting position
bottle, with large base preferably, ie avent, is used
bottle held just high enough to keep nipple free of air.

I would/will use this for...
moms who are going to formula feed (ask Jan Barger how she feels about
teaching formula feeding...it takes so much "stuff" that may change their
minds, but needs to be taught)
I feel it puts baby more in control of feeding. Less gravity pressure
forcing fluids down them.
Their heads are in a neutral position. Natural reflex and garding against
choking than the baby who is laying back way flat and hyperextending their
head.
I have found many moms do not want to use sns or cup feeding so bottle
feeding in this manner may be helpful.

Just my opinions!
