Sounds to me like the boy is doing what I've seen single babies do - he's
becoming very active, using more energy and probably is too involved to sit
and nurse for any longer than he has to because life and the world around
him is far too exciting to be away from for very long.
If he's active and healthy - I'd just child proof the house (if that hasn't
been done already)
and remember to offer to nurse him when he's not intensely involved in
exploring his world.
