Hi All,
It has been a very tiring week with Ben going thru another fever thing with
no other symptoms other than a fever and the inability to sleep without being
held and while in bed with us, tossing and turning and keeping us up! But, I
wanted to give you an update on my personal toddler BF issues.
Thanks to all who sent info. It was very helpful and helped me to recognize
a few things that were going on.
First, while Ben is not a physically gymnastic nurser (prefers to nurse in
one position) he was trying new things with his tongue and jaw while nursing,
and that seems to be what was causing the most problems. It only took a few
times of telling him "No, that hurts mommy, try again" to get him to stop.
We are now nursing pain free! Yeah! Also, correcting him this way seems to
have also ended the creasing he was causing, tho I suspect time will tell if
I have just gotten lucky over the last few days....
I tried some Pure Lan (since I can't find Lansinoh here {Yet} and I have a
whole supply of the Pure Lan.) Did a couple of test patches and was
surprised to have no no reaction. Tried the PL on one nipple/areola and
again, no reaction, but there was improvement of the skin condition after
just one night's application!
So things are definitely looking up in the breast area (which is so nice!).

Thanks again for all the help. What would I do without you?

Love,
Jay
