Good grief!

When does it ever stop! A mother whose baby had gained 2 pounds the first 2
weeks after birth with nothing but breast milk, was told by her HCP that
because her baby was nursing up to 50 minutes at a stretch that he was
"using her" and that she needed to mix up formula and water and given an
ounce after each feeding.

No matter that the baby was fine, that she really was not interested in
using formula and there was absolutley no indication whatsoever to make
this recommendation.

Sigh.............ready for retirement in paradise (with Jan) , where we let
babies decide about how and when they like to eat and health care
practionners know enough to leave things alone.
