I just wanted to respond to the last post about IBCLC certification from 
the IBCLC executive, which was in response to Nicky Lee's post 
recently.  From what I recall from her credentials (RECALL), Nicky Lee is 
IBCLC herself...and maybe an RN also (don't remember).  I don't remember 
the point of her quoted post initially, but surely as someone who is 
certified herself she was not suggesting that a 45 hour class is all it 
takes to become IBCLC!  If I remember correctly, it was addressing ONLY the 
"classroom" education aspect.  Her post even says "meets A requirement...". 
I think she should be given some credit.  I don't know her from Eve; this 
is just my two cents.    People on here tend to get carried away with 
proving a point before realizing that there may be no point to prove or 
defend :).
