a quick glance at the internet convinces me that this mother was
implementing a method of feeding heavily promoted -- perhaps her mistake was
that she forgot to invest in a specificly designed product!

catch this text:
"With the Milk Maid there is no longer the need for stuffing blankets or
clothes under the baby bottle to prop it for the correct feeding angle. The
baby bottle holder has a ergonomic 60 degree beveled wide stabalizer base
that prevents the bottle from rolling and falling to the ground that can
occur with personal objects or a round bottle holder. Being able to prop a
bottle allows mom and dad the ability to use both their hands to hold and
interact with their baby. The bottle prop provides the assistance you need
to help with your hands free baby feedings. Sometimes you just can't always
hold the bottle so being able to prop it up has become a popular method. It
is pure neccessity and a true life saver for mother's of multiples such as
twins or triplets." etc.
