Wow.  I interpret the new policy to read that *any* company can sponsor as long as (among other things) they don't provide complimentary registration to speakers, they give out their freebies after the event (or on a table marked advertisements), they may advertise on the schedules and content descriptions, and participants are told "Some financial support was received" as long as it doesn't include the words "Thank you."  

I hope I'm misreading this nonsense.  Does someone interpret it differently?
