I am excited to be able to listen and observe all your words of wisdom.....I
am a staff nurse on a ldrp unit and in private lc practice. After attending
Pro-LC mtg on breast refusal....inst mom of 4 mon old, only nrsg for one min @
each breast who has been pumping and feeding ebm plus abm since four weeks of
age[she had "failed to latch on in hospital, quit, decided to try to
relactate],...inst her to do the "bathtub rebirth". She reported that her
son nursed for 30 min each breast, and has begun to seem satisfied after nrsg
for 10-15min ,burping and not demanding supplemental feed as often. The
excitment in her voice was great. I also think her situation is complicated
by misinformation and and unsupportive spouse, since she requests that I
return her calls when her spouse is out of the house!
Some
questions for you exp. Lactnetters.....
1. Is there a way
to copy/print some of your comments for my files without printing the whole
section?
2.
Anyone have any articles/polices they are willing to share on cup feeding-I
just got one of our pedis to write for cup feeding but need some backup for
reluctant staff and other pedis.
I
hope I am not commiting any transgressions against any rules and reg with my
first entrance onto th LactNet. Looking forward to more shared info and
advice from all! Ellen Taylor(computer naive)
